Circuit information

The MotoGP Gran Premio de la Comunitat Valenciana is held near Cheste, approximately 20 kilometers from the city of Valencia. The circuit and its facilities, built in 1999, were designed in a way to provide the best viewing opportunity to each spectator: out of the total capacity of 120.000 spectators there are 65.000 grandstand seats from which the whole track can be seen which makes this grand prix special.  The track, named after the Spanish motorcyclist Ricardo Tormo, is not to be confused with the Valencia Street Circuit, being the home of the F1 European Grand Prix. Due to the mild temperature, the race track often hosts F1 testings before the season starts in March.

The anti-clockwise, 4.2 kilometer long circuit has 11 turns of which 4 are right hand corners and 7 left-handers. Since the circuit is packed in a small area it has very slow corners therefore it is one of the slowest circuits of the season. In spite of this fact it is always full of action given that this is the track where the MotoGP season ends.
