The historic buildings are outstanding, especially the Basilica, which I found myself visiting again and again. It's scale and grandeur are truly remarkable. There's a very large park which is beautiful and varied, and connected to the park is an extensive forest with nature trails.....great for walking adventures.
I'd recommend visiting in mid March as the city celebrates the french siege of 1808 with a spectacular reenactment in the streets.
The zaragozans are such nice friendly people and the evening city life is wonderful.
I've been to several Spanish cities and Zaragoza is my favourite.

Zaragoza is a beautiful city, but the strong and constant wind makes the place colder than it could be. It is not exactly a touristic city, but it is worth a short stay to visit Aljaferia and the wonderful churchs. The resataurant Flor de Liz in the old center was an incredible experience.

Zaragoza is a beautiful city with great history. 2 full days was PLENTY of time there I think. Be sure to buy tickets for the Aljafería Palace in advance if you want to see it. Also, if there are specific restaurants you want to try, be sure to make reservations ahead of time. I recommend el fuelle for the food and the experience.

There are some historic sights, like parts of Moorish palace, a cathedral, Roman ruins, art museum with Goya, historic and huge food market. Several famous and attractive buildings for churches, museums, to sum up. City very affordable, with many restaurants and markets near our hotel. Our favorite area was that area near the historic food market, near El Pilar church, around Hotel Catalonia El Pilar hotel and NH Hotel, among other hotels in that area.
Uber and other cab services are here. Buses and trams here close to our hotel but we have not used.
I have read, however, that summer is very hot, and we are here in late October and early November.

I visited Zaragoza to break up my trip from Barcelona to Madrid. I was intrigued by its abundance of Mudejar art and architecture and it did not disappoint! I loved walking through the city in search of all the Mudejar buildings and loved the Cathedral del Salvador de Zaragoza and the Iglesia de San Pablo. The Aljaferia Palace was also definitely a highlight! The Basílica de Nuestra Señora del Pilar is one of the nicest Basilicas I have ever seen, as well.
I loved that it wasn't as busy or touristy as Barcelona and Madrid and it was an authentic Spanish experience away from the tourist traps of those two, big cities. I stayed for 3 nights but think that two full days or a weekend would have been ideal. It's extremely easy to get around the city, you can walk to everything and it's overall just a friendly, warm, nice place to stay. You can tell that they don't get as many tourists there because English is not commonly spoken, so knowing some common phrases might help during your visit.
All in all, I would highly recommend adding this city to your Spain list!

One of the most beautiful cities I have ever visited.
One of the most beautiful cities I have ever visited.
So many places to eat the choice was endless
Great value for money
The hop on hop off bus was great to get around and see the more interesting places.
Zaragoza is a busy city and trying to find a place that allowed parking was going to be expensive and difficult to deal with. This hotel is very basic in an unappealing, industrial part of the city. But, it provides what budget conscious travelers with cars need - a safe, clean place with very friendly staff, super-clean, functional little cafe on the ground floor where the local workers come for a coffee and pastry. I was expecting much less for the money.
Hotel Avenida is very accomodating with my request. Great place! So close to the center and the staffs were quite very helpful whenever I needed some recommendations on foods to try, things to do, places (bars, restaurants) to visit, etc. I'd love to stay here again, for sure. My trip to Zaragoza was fantastic! Part of it because of how warm the management of Hotel Avenida is.
We were traveling through from North of Spain down to the Costas so this was a short visit, however, the staff were VERY friendly and the location for a short stay was excellent.
Thanks you to the staff for helping us with the Roof Top Box as our car was too big for their car park and others had small ceilings so we had to remove and they stored it for us, thank you 🙏
The hotel is well positioned on the journey through Spain from Bilbao to Costa Blanca, close to the motorway.
Well outside Zaragoza so we didn’t travel into the city but that was not the reason for our stay.
Parking is secure, rooms were spacious and well equipped. Really comfortable and clean. Beautiful modern hotel, great breakfast buffet, quiet and comfortable.
Very comfortable and clean room with a modern furniture. The hotel is situated in city center, so you have everything close. Zaragoza is just 1 and half hour from Madrid or Barcelona by train, so if you wanna visit both cities and have a limited budget for accommodation Zaragoza is a right choice.
We have booked two rooms in hotel sauce for 5 people.
Hotel is greatly located to explore Zaragoza attractions and very close also to many bars and restaurants. Staff is really helpful and place is busy with guests staying at the hotel but also coming from outside to cafeteria/bakery.
Surprising hotel, at the bus / rail nexus. Very modern, suite type rooms, had drinks making facilities (rare in Spain).
Great room. We used under hotel parking (extra but right on the lift. Good Wi-Fi, Basic, but excellent room service after a delayed arrival.
I won't mention the small details which are irrelevant for a 2 star hotel, you don't need to have expectations. However, when it comes to heat, you should have a warm place even if it's a motel or 1 star facility. Which they don't have here.
This is a very friendly and functional hotel with high quality rooms for the price. Definitely better than expected. Very handy stop off if you're (like us) travelling across Spain and need a mid-way place to rest
The location of the hotel is superb, and the valet parking is quite reasonable and convenient. The breakfast room perhaps used to be a ball room, it was quite splendid with many options.
Hotel Tibur is my home in Zaragoza, located in the heart of the city and the staff and room condition always make my days in Spain more than happy, Muchas gracias
